LIUBOMYRA ANTONIVNA LUTSYK – FIRST WOMAN-PROFESSOR OF DENTISTRY IN HALYCHYNA (IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 100th BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY).

Abstract
The article is devoted to the distinguished figure of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, contributor of Halician dentistry, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Lutsyk Liubomyra Antonivna (1918-2000) – a scientist and a teacher who devoted her hard life to medicine and the development of Ukrainian post-war dentistry. Liubomyra Antonivna Lutsyk was born on October 29, 1918 in the village of Gliboka, Chernivtsi region. Graduating from the Ukrainian gymnasium in Stanislaviv (now Ivano-Frankivsk) in 1937, entered the agronomy faculty of the University of Poznań, and in 1938 transferred to medical faculty. In 1939, she transferred to the faculty of medicine at the then Lviv State Medical Institute(LSMI). She completed her education in 1945 and received a doctor’s degree (No. 716352 dated February 6, 1946). From 1944 to 1949 – doctor-resident in the clinic of dentistry LSMI. However, during 1945-1947, L.A. Lutsyk works as a doctor of the clinic of dentistry at the Department of Hospital Surgery of LSMI, and during 1949-1951 – as an assistant in the course of dentistry of the same department. Since 1951, Liubomyra Lutsyk has been appointed as a resident of the Dental Department of the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital. In 1958 Liubomyra Antonivna was an active co-organizer of the Dentistry Faculty of LSMI, in 1961 took part in the creation of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry and in 1976 – Department of Pediatric Dentistry. In 1983, Professor L. Lutsyk was a co-organizer and consultant of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry at the Faculty of Advancement Physicians and Pharmacists.
