MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF A FREQUENCY CONVERTER WITH SENSORLESS VECTOR CONTROL

Abstract

Frequency converters with vector control are one of the most commonly used in the industry of devices for controlling asynchronous motors with squirrel-cage rotor today. Its advantages over other devices for regulating the speed and torque of an induction motor cannot be overemphasized. An important aspect of the operation of the frequency converter with vector control is the fact that its use allows not only with a high degree of accuracy to regulate the moment and speed of an induction motor as part of actuators, but also to achieve rational use of energy resources necessary for the operation of machines. Purpose. The article proposes a technique for constructing a mathematical model of a frequency converter with sensorless vector control. Methodology. The mathematical model of the frequency converter with sensorless vector control is based on the frequency converter model from the MATLAB Simscape Power Systems simulation environment library. An adaptive speed recognition model was used to implement sensorless vector control. The technique of calculation of the basic parameters of the induction motor and the frequency converter is presented. The drive and the model of the model have been tuned. Results. The parameters of the obtained model were tuned to simulate a real Siemens frequency converter SINAMICS S120 with a connected Nord gear-motor. Originality. The simulation showed that the obtained results fully coincide with the real characteristics of the frequency converter of Siemens Sinamics S120. Due to this, it becomes possible to build mathematical models of complex automation systems using sensorless vector control and their further analysis. Practical value. The creation of a mathematical model of a frequency converter with sensorless vector control is an actual problem, since its creation will make it possible to model, adjust and evaluate the quality of work of machines and mechanisms prior to their industrial introduction.
