MEDICINAL PLANTS WITH POTENTIAL HYPOGLYCEMIC PROPERTY-A REVIEW

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a clinical syndrome characterized by a deficiency in insulin production or resistance to insulin action. Consequently, it leads to inappropriate hyperglycemia. Prolonged hyperglycemia can cause severe complications that probably affect every system of the body and every drug taken by the patient. This study highlights the most popular medicinal plants with potential antdiabetic significance and their modes of action.
