MEMÓRIAS DE MIGRANTES: (RE)CONSTRUÇÃO DE IDENTIDADES EM SITUAÇÃO DE FRONTEIRAS

Abstract
This paper presents reflections based on memories of Brazilian migrants who settled in the district of Santa Rita, eastern region of Paraguay, in the last quarter of the 20th century. It aims to analyze these migrants memorial and identity (re)constructions related to belonging in a border situation. The analysis is based on data collected from 14 semi-structured interview surveys conducted in the field and compared to bibliographical research on migration in Paraguay. Interpretations are supported by distinct theoretical referential in an interdisciplinary action, as it is understood that the rupture with disciplinary paradigms goes beyond an integrated construction between two or more disciplines. The main theoretical and methodological approaches begin in the fields of Social Anthropology and History, from individual to social, to reach discussions about social group, and analyze memorial strategies and (re) constructions, focusing on the context of migration. The results allow us to realize that, by going through experiences living in a complex situation of mobility and fixation, these migrants use memories as a tool for adapting the feeling of belonging according to the new experiences and the new social framework, to meet the need of coherence and continuity of identity in a borders situation.
