METHODOLOGY OF CONDUCTING THE SIMULATION OF MUTUAL COOPERATION OF ACTUAL SURFACES DURING THE DRY FRICTION PROCESS

Abstract
The paper presents a methodology of actual surface model creation and cooperation simulations. Various stages of research are presented, including the measurement in 3D of surface geometrical structures by converting the received points cloud into a solid in CATIA, to an FEM simulation of mutual surface displacement in Abaqus. Sample stress distributions were obtained on irregularities included in mutual contact during the dry friction process.
