Methods of Simulation for Dynamic Systems with Friction
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2010, Vol 7, Issue 1
Abstract
In this paper the contact/impact between two bodies is accentuated by simulations using the ANSYS code. In the present study has been selected the ANSYS/LS-DYNA code because it is used in the simulation of contact/impact. This computer code performs nonlinear transient dynamic analysis of threedimensional structures.

Improving the Sound Pressure Level for a Simplified Passenger Cabin by using Modal Participation and Size Optimization
The interior acoustics is an important part in the design stage for automakers in order to reduce the sound pressure level in the passenger compartment by using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE). The sound field in the ve...
Stress Intensity Factor vs. Transversal Deflection - How to Determine the Damage Severity?
This paper compare two methods to determine the severity of a damage occurring in cantilever; the first method is well-known in the literature and base on an approach from fracture mechanics, while the second is contrive...
Some Aspects Regarding the Transition from Beam to Plate Behavior of Vibrating Structures
The paper introduces a new vision about the vibrational behavior of beams and plates, aiming to show the correlation between vibration modes which nowadays are considered of different types. An analysis was performed by...
Influence of the Constructive and Operational Features on the Natural Frequencies of the Centrifuges
This paper approaches a field of advanced fundamental research: the study of vibrations of industrial centrifuges considering the constructive and functional factors. It will be established special study model for centri...
Vibration Isolation System for Machines and Equipment by Isolator Pads with Alternating Layers
The problems related to vibrations generated by machinery and equipment are extensive and include structural protection of equipment and the environment protection. These problems have led to the development of a vehemen...
