Micellar extraction of cimetidine

Journal Title: CHEMIK nauka-technika-rynek - Year 2016, Vol 70, Issue 2

Abstract

The presented paper describes an elaboration of micellar extraction procedures for effective isolation of cimetidine (CMT) from aqueous samples. This antihistamine drug is widely applied for treatment diseases of stomach. The micellar extraction of cimetidine was performed with using sodium dodecylsulfate(VI) and Tween-80 (TW-80). The analytical parameters of spectrophotometric (UV) determination of the studied compound were calculated. The elaborated methods following by micellar extraction procedures were used for the analysis of cimetidine in natural water samples.
