Międzydobowa zmienność parowania terenowego w obszarach zurbanizowanych i różnych typach roślinności paranaturalnej (Interdiurnal variability of evapotranspiration in urban areas and different types of vegetation backgrounds)

Abstract

The main objective of this work is a comparison of urban evapotranspiration with the measurement of evapotran-spiration on agricultural fields and wetland area. The results are taken from three eddy covariance measurement station lo-cated: in Łódź (urban station), in the Annosław village (agriculture area) and in Biebrza National Park (wetland area). The analyses cover a two-year measurement period (2013–2014). The investigation has confirmed that the urban evapotranspira-tion is lower than the one observed on agricultural and wetland areas. For example, from April to August, the urban evapotranspiration is characterized by a distinct diurnal pattern with the highest average values (around noon) at a level of ca. 0.15 to 0.20 mm/h. At the wetland and agricultural stations these values were higher and reached the level of 0.25–0.30 mm/h. However, the analysis of the daily course of evapotranspiration during the selected periods shows that during the second part of summer (after harvesting) and autumn, urban evapotranspiration is close to the level found in agricultural field evapotranspiration.
