Abstract
The universal symbol of the World Tree on the material of the novel of 20th century‟s Ukrainian writer Volodymyr Drozd "Leaves of the Earth" is analyzed in the article.The plot-semantic axis of the text is the Tree mythologeme, which is represented in the context of the initiation of the mythological scenarios of the beginning and the end, of the Found and Lost Paradise, initiation. Ideologically-stylistic paradigm of the mythological scenarios is modeled by mythologemic representatives, the dominant of which is the Tree of Life. The destruction of the Tree of Life becomes a sign of the Lost Paradise -the Nut Earth
