MINI HIDROELEKTRANE – EKOLOŠKA PRIHVATLJIVOST ILI BIZNIS? / MINI HYDRO POWER PLANTS - ECOLOGICAL ACCEPTANCE OR BUSINESS?

Abstract
In the world a long time ago, and in the Western Balkans recently, the production of electricity from renewable sources is being considered. When nuclear power plants and hydroelectric power plants are hazardous or too expensive, and thermal power plants are unacceptable as large polluters, solutions are offered in the form of wind farms, solar power plants or biomass power plants, and small hydro power plants. When everything is summed up and subtracted, it is counted in order to produce cheaper electricity, which would mean less burden for home budgets. Small hydro power plants represent the most rational renewable energy source, the most flexible and ecologically cleanest controller. In recent years, many newly constructed mini hydroelectric dams have been built, and a number of them are also planned. Investors are lucrative, ecologically challenging, but small hydroelectric power plants are increasingly in the region.
