Abstract

Technological changes have gained strategic importance in the thinking and actions of many market players, penetrating at the same time into all links of the value chain and the ways of their connections, which changed the range of competition and the way in which the needs of buyers are met. With the development of industry 4.0 there is a need to create new business models. Building a good business model is a challenge because it requires taking into account the new conditions and resources of the company. The model is to be a long-term method of the company to increase and use its resources in order to achieve a competitive advantage. The ability of an enterprise to build a competitive advantage requires quick adaptation to changes taking place in a changing environment, as well as creating its own innovative solutions. The development of the Industry 4.0 concept forces modern enterprises to adapt quickly and flexibly to the changing conditions of competitiveness. This is reflected in the creation of new business models that allow for innovation, rapid reorganization of processes and very flexible adaptation of enterprises to new conditions. The aim of the article is to present the assumptions of new business models dedicated to enterprises 4.0. Because the Industry 4.0 concept is a new challenge for enterprises (concept initiated in 2010) assumptions for the development of business models should be treated as an attempt to identify them in the conditions of building cyberphysical production lines in smart factories and the Internet of Thing.
