Modeling and Simulation of HVAC System Fault
Journal Title: UNKNOWN - Year 2012, Vol 1, Issue 3
Abstract
One of the big challenges in comparing Measured and simulated energy performance of buildings is that most energy models do not capture the significant impact of installation, operational and degradation HVAC system faults on actual energy performance in buildings. Energy Plus, a comprehensive whole building performance simulation tool, also has limited capability of modeling HVAC faults. The research described in this paper identifies, characterizes and prioritizes common faults of HVAC equipment and control systems, some of which are incorporated in Energy Plus. This research primarily supports the objective of assessing the effect of HVAC faults on whole building performance energy consumption and occupant comfort for use in retrofit decision analyses for existing buildings
Low PAPR by Weighted OFDM
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is a technique which is used in next generation mobile radio communication system. OFDM signals bandwidth efficiency is increased since here serial data is multiplexed in to lar...
Parental Deprivation and Psychiatric Morbidity amongst Older Adults
"Background: Parents are always the source of big support for human beings in all age groups. It was thought that the loss of parents may have impact on mental health. However, there is dearth of studies on parental depr...
Poisson-Gamma Counting Process as a Discrete Survival Model
In this paper a Poisson–Gamma distribution has been proposed, which is obtained by compounding a Poisson distribution with a two parameter Gamma distribution. Here the pmf of the proposed distribution (PGD) is derived. T...
Impact of Advertising on Turnover of Brewery Companies in Nigeria.
This paper examines the impact of advertising on turnover of manufacturing companies with a view to rank the magnitude of importance of advertising among the multifarious factors of promotion, goodwill, product availabil...
Application of Theoretical Models to the Kinetic Study of the TiFe0,5Co0,5 — H2 System
The reaction of hydrogen with metals to form hydrides has numerous potential energy storage and management applications. But initially it is first necessary to determine conditions of hydrogen sorption kinetics. In this...
