MODELLING OF COMPOSITE ELEMENTS OF POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS CONSIDERING NONLINEAR MATERIAL CHARACTERISTICS
Journal Title: Journal of Machine Construction and Maintenance - Year 2018, Vol 110, Issue 3
Abstract
Engineering calculations of elements of the power transmission systems made of high-strength carbon-epoxy and carbon-aramid composites are very difficult due to the lack of reliable data concerning non-linear features of these materials. This paper presents a proposal of building and identifying a dynamic model of bi-supported drive shaft. A properly identified mathematical model allowed predicting dynamic behaviours at various velocities of start-up and braking.

ESTIMATION OF SHAPE OF AFM TIP WITH “CROSS-FORREST” CALIBRATION STANDARD
The “Cross-Forrest” tip shape calibration standard for regularized blind tip reconstruction has been fabricated and investigated. The confirmation of previously reported theoretical findings is shown. However, the KSVD-O...
THE POLYAMIDE MEMBRANES MODIFIED BY COPPER OXIDE USING PVD TECHNIQUES
The aim of this research was to examine the influence of process parameters of low-temperature plasma treatment on the permeability, stability, and antibacterial properties of polyamide membranes. As a result of the work...
OPERATION OF BRIQEETTING ROLLER PRESSES WITH AN ASYMMETRICAL COMPACTION UNIT
The key issue in the briquetting process in a roll press is to properly customise the working surface. The conventional symmetrical compaction units employed in roller presses are often unsuitable for the con...
MULTIFUNCTIONAL INTERPHASES IN ELECTROSTATIC COATING OF ELECTRICALLY NON-CONDUCTIVE MATERIALS
Solvent-based or waterborne coatings commonly used in surface finishing of plastic or composite-based products exhibit very low spray transfer efficiency, typically not exceeding 30–35%. Powder coatings, an attractive 10...
INVESTIGATIONS ON THE MODELED SHRINK-FITTED JOINTS OF ASSEMBLED CRANKSHAFTS
The paper describes the results of investigations on shrink-fitted joints. Models of the marine engine cranks and pivots were made in the scale of 1:5 considering real conditions of the large-sized cranksha...
