Modelling of Transformer Windings and Computation of Very Fast Transient Over-Voltages
Journal Title: ANALELE UNIVERSITATII DIN CRAIOVA - Seria Inginerie electrica - Year 2015, Vol 39, Issue 39
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is represented by analysis and modeling of the transformer windings stressed by over-voltage with direct impact on voltage distribution across the winding. The authors considered both approaches in modeling the winding: windings with distributed electrical parameters respectively composed from disk coils with concentrated parameters. Both types of voltages applied across the transformer winding will generate free oscillations which are analyzed further on. According to the model, the transformer’s windings are divided in several disk coils with concentrated known parameters. This results in a complete electrical network used for simulations. All simulations have been performed using the software package SYSEG (SYmbolic State Equation Generation).

Contactless Power Transfer – Theoretical Principles and Fields of Applications
Contactless energy transfer 1 has indubitable advantages in modern technique given by the lack of electro-mechanical contacts predisposed to pitting and failure: use in aggressive or explosive (no sparks) environments, a...
CPC - Based Reactive Compensation of Linear Loads Supplied with Asymmetrical Nonsinusoidal Voltage
The paper presents a method of calculation of LC parameters of reactive balancing compensators of linear time-invariant (LTI) loads supplied with a nonsinusoidal and asymmetrical voltage. The method is based on the Cur-r...
CPT application in Active Power Filtering
The current decomposition, based on the Conservative Power Theory (CPT), includes, beside the active, reactive and void components, an unbalanced component too. This way it is possible for the active filter to compensate...
Easy Design Procedure of PCB Inductors Using WEBENCH Coil Designer
This paper describes the use of WEBENCH Coil Designer for generating wireless power transfer PCB inductors for low and medium power portable systems without the need of complex calculations or complex layout design. This...
