Modern absolute monarchies on for example, the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman

Abstract
The State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman are considered as modern countries with an absolutele monarchic form of government. The main features of political systems, the mechanisms of establishment, retention and functioning of monarchical power of the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman are analyzed. The main factors, thanks to which the existence of absolute monarchies becomes possible in the modern world, where the dominant ideological paradigm is democratic, are brought out.
