MODERN ASTRONOMICAL PICTURE OF THE WORLD AS A CONSTITUENT NATURAL SCIENTIFIC WORLDVIEW

Abstract
This article offers a structure of scientifi c worldview, the relationships between the picture of the world and the worldview are determined. We defi ne the scientifi c worldview as a system of principles, knowledge, views about the world from the point of view of modern science, through which one can determine the place in the world (nature and society) of the individual person and of mankind as a whole. The criteria of formation of the natural scientifi c worldview and stages of its formation are given. Under the astronomical picture of the world we understand the generalized system of ideas about the origin, structure and development of the Universe. Two informative blocks are presented in the form of tables; they determine the components of the modern astronomical picture of the world. Each block contains a number of positions: in block 1 the positions are placed in a chronological sequence (from the origin of the Universe to the present, conditionally – the prehistory and history of the planet Earth and life on it); in block 2 – in the hierarchical (from the components of the Solar system to the Multiverse, conditionally – the position of the planet Earth in the Universe). The structure and content of the modern astronomical picture of the world have been defi ned so as to contribute to the more effective formation of this picture in the students as part of their natural scientifi c worldview.
