MODERN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AS A MEANS OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF TEACHING FUNDAMENTAL DISCIPLINES

Abstract
Some problems of teaching fundamental disciplines in technical universities are discussed. The importance of combining fundamental mathematical education and modern information technologies is underlined. The approach based on the "parallel" illustration of classical solutions and techniques based on IT technologies, allowing students to motivate themselves to develop the material, provides an opportunity to independently assess the depth and strength of the knowledge obtained and, as a "methodical move" in the material presentation, deserves attention in the study of a large number of fundamental and applied disciplines. Also the work touches upon the problems, which the educational environment had to face in recent years. In this regard, attention is also focused on the school background level analysis and ways of eliminating existing shortcomings, which would improve the quality of students' training, as well as introduce new technologies and tools into the educational process.
