Modern problems of preparation and increase of qualification of guides

Abstract
In this article is given an analysis of the modern system of training and advanced training of guides and guides-interpreters. Some centers and organizations of our country which are engaged in professional training and professional development of guides are considered in detail. In particular, the Institute of Industrial Training (Kyiv), the State Enterprise “Training and Consulting Center for Tourism” (Kyiv), Lviv Tourism Development Association “LART”, “Mandry-Plus” Center (Lviv), Tourist Information the city center of Odessa. Named possible ways of improving this system. It is also noted that there is a contradiction between the growing need for Ukrainian tourist business in guides and guides-interpreters who have developed professional competencies demanded by the modern labor market and that the content and technology of professional competence development are not sufficiently studied in the theory and methodology of vocational education such specialists in the process of their professional training or retraining.
