Monitoring Lubricant Performance in Field Application
Journal Title: Tribology in Industry - Year 2012, Vol 34, Issue 2
Abstract
The paper presents the physical chemical tests in the analysis of oils that are used for the assessment of his condition. Furthermore the results of experimental research of physical chemical characteristics engines oil was sampled from engines of PUCH 300 GD, Pinzgauer 710 and Ikarbus IK 104 P vehicles, which were in use. The research results are originating from the research of the paper authors. Investigations it was realized that there is a change of physical chemical characteristics of oil for lubrication in the engines vehicle. These changes are in direct dependence on the state of all elements tribomechanical engines system, and depending on their functional characteristics.

Thermal, Squeezing and Compressibility Effects in Lubrication of Asymmetric Rollers
Hydrodynamically heavily loaded rigid cylindrical rollers, lubricated by a thin compressible fluid film, are investigated for normal squeezing motion and cavitations. The lubricant is assumed to follow the non-Newtonian...
Analyzing the Influence of the Construction Element Position on Torque Transmission by Friction
This paper is analyzing the impact of the construction element position of ship winch drum on the effects of torque transmission by friction in the mechanization welding process. The driving and driven wheels (constructi...
Wear of Polished Steel Surfaces in Dry Friction Linear Contact on Polimer Composites with Glass Fibres
It is generally known that the friction and wear between polymers and polished steel surfaces has a special character, the behaviour to friction and wear of a certain polymer might not be valid for a different polymer, m...
Influence of Composition of Plant Oils on Their Tribological Properties
Sunflower, corn, rapeseed, olive, and linseed oils were used for investiga-tion. Their fatty-acid compositions have been evaluated by gas chroma-tography. The tribological properties were determined with a four-ball mach...
Film Thickness Formation in Nanoscale due to Effects of Elastohydrodynamic, Electrostatic and Surface force of Solvation and Van der Waals
The mechanism of oil film with a thickness in the nanoscale is discussed in this paper. A polar lubricant of propylene carbonate is used as the intervening liquid between contiguous bodies in concentrated contacts. A pre...
