MORPHOFUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MONBELYARD CATTLE IN THE CONDITIONS OF KARAKALPAKSTAN
Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2025, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
The study provides information on cows imported from France and their characteristics after importation. It examines the morphofunctional properties of the udders of cows imported to Karakalpakstan during different seasons. The study found that cows in the experimental group (Group II) had superior udder measurements compared to the control group (Group I), specifically in udder circumference, length, and width. These measurements exceeded those of the control group by 2.5 cm (P<0.01), 1.4 cm (P<0.05), and 2 cm (P<0.01), respectively. A similar trend was observed in udder depth, where the front and rear depths were higher by 2 cm and 1.7 cm, respectively (P<0.05). An analysis of the functional properties of the udders revealed that cows in the experimental group had a higher milk flow rate, recorded at 0.17 kg/min (P<0.05). At the conclusion of the study, the authors determined that the morphofunctional characteristics of the udders of Montbéliarde cows imported from France met all the required standards in the classification process. They concluded that the selection of cows based on udder characteristics by French breeding scientists not only improved udder traits but also had a positive impact on milk productivity.
