Morphological and biochemical differences of trees with different resistance to annosum root rot

Abstract

Research materials on morphological and biochemical processes in pine stands affected by annosum root rot are showed. Three categories of trees’ sanitary condition: "conditionally resistant", "sick", "healthy" are examined. It was found that the disease affects on the activity of the growth process and causes imbalance of primary and secondary metabolites in plants. For trees that are in the damaged area, the intensity of biochemical processes varies within the norms of their reaction. The highest degree of indexes variation is recorded in the groups of trees that are in the center of the disease.
