MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS TRANSFORMATION UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF PROGRAMMED WORK WITH 16-YEAR-OLD STUDENTS

Abstract
This study was designed in order to identify, in two different points of time, changes in morphological characteristics of (80) pupils of grammar school aged 16 years (+ - 6 months), under the influence of the programmed work that would encompass basketball practice. A set of 12 anthropometric measurements were applied. The discriminative parametric procedure T-test for dependent samples was applied in the area of comparative statistics for determining the statistic differences in the variables used between the initial and final state. Significant positive quantitative and qualitative changes in most of the variables were identified in the final state compared to the initial.
