Muhammad al-Madani al-Trabzuni and his Risalah fi Bayan al-Azdad

Abstract
In this article, knowledge was given about Mohammad al-Madani al-Trabzooni (d. 1200/1787)’s life and works. One of his works on “azdad” Which was written by the hand of the author was published. Besides, the method that was following by the writer was analysised. Contents and sources of the book and it’s place in the literature were in- formed. Within the frame of this book, “azdad” in Arabic language was handled.
