Mujeres eternas en el arte: una mirada desde las prácticas musicales de la Escuela Superior Tecnológica de Artes Débora Arango
Journal Title: Revista Académica Estesis - Year 2022, Vol 1, Issue 13
Abstract
This text analyzes issues in tension around the concept of eternal women in the practices of traditional and popular music in Latin America based on the case study of the Proyecto Formativo Integrador of the Decanatura de Prácticas Musicales of the Tecnológico de Artes Débora Arango developed in the first half of 2022 called Sound Images: creative trajectories from the musical poetics of Latin American eternal women. From the above, it is evident in the discourses of the teachers and students participating in the project, positions in tension and dispute for the meaning of what and who are the eternal women in the field of music. Likewise, there is an important interest in expressing, through artistic creations, symbolic denunciations that add to the narratives of many artists in the world who have voiced in their works the discriminated role of women in society, as defined by Eduardo Galea-no: "the nobodies". To this end, three sections are developed: The first one made some theoretical approaches for the analysis of the concept of eternal women; the second sought to systematize and analyze the final event of the project in which a large part of the community of musicians turned to present their creations and artistic reflections in a concert; and finally, some significant experiences lived by the Semillero de Investigación Cantos y Cuentos de Mujeres Eternas during the academic semester were discussed.
