Abstract
(The recital choirs of the workers in the socialism) Having a quick view over the literary life between the two WW’s, one can divide it into two main sides considering politics. On one side stands the Transylvanist authors and works, while on the other side stands the circle of Korunk journal and the labour movement. The big picture is, of course, more elaborate, but this paper aims to present this latter side of the ‘20-s and ’30-s. The Korunk journal was founded in 1926, and quickly followed the Studio Reciting Choir, whose debut was held almost on the same day as Ödön Palasovszky and his group’s debut in Hungary. Under the infl uence of the Studio Reciting Choir appeared a student reciting choir in Kolozsvar and in the near locations. The genre of reciting choir became so well-known and beloved that in the beginning of the ‘30s appeared literary works specifi cally written to these reciting choirs.
