National minorities and interstate relations

Abstract
The world tendency to intensification the struggle of national minorities for their rights and the explosion of ethno-political conflicts threatens the security of the countries and the regions of the world. The article is devoted to the analysis of the role of national minorities in interstate relations. The author presents the main theoretical models for the study of national minorities from the point of view of the theory of international relations, among which are the concepts of «diaspora», «transnationalism» and «kin minorities/states».
