Nazwy określające płeć w mowie starszych i młodszych mieszkańców wsi

Abstract
W artykule omówiono zróżnicowanie leksyki gwarowej odnoszącej się do pola tematycz- nego „płeć”. Pokrótce zaprezentowano słownictwo w obrębie następujących grup tematycz- nych: 1) nazwy ogólne płci męskiej i żeńskiej, 2) zwroty grzecznościowe, 3) nazwy wyko- nawców czynności, 4) nazwy rodzinne, 5) nazwy własne. Podstawę materiałową stanowią przede wszystkim własne badania gwar na południu Ma- łopolski, a także słowniki gwarowe i ogólne oraz studia literatury poświęconej zagadnieniu zależności języka i płci. Zbiór nazw określających płeć nie jest jednolity. Występują nazwy typowo gwarowe oraz przejęte z języka ogólnego, formy powszechnie stosowane i rzadkie, określenia ekspresywne i neutralne. Istotny wpływ na wybór nazwy ma czynnik pokoleniowy. The aim of this article is to present the diversity of Polish dialectal vocabulary related to the thematic fi eld of “gender”. The article discusses lexis of the following thematic groups: 1) generic nouns referring to males and females, 2) honorifi cs, 3) professional names, 3) kin- ship terms, 4) personal names. The research material comes from the author’s collection of dialectal lexis used in south- ern Małopolska [Lesser Poland], as well as from dictionaries of dialectal and standard Polish. Material has also been excerpted from Polish studies on the relationship between language and gender. The class of names denoting gender is not uniform and includes: typical dialectal lexemes, names and forms of address adopted from general Polish, vocabulary of high and low fre- quency of use, expressive and neutral names. The choice of a lexeme referring to gender is determined by a generational factor.
