Journal Title: Journal of Evolution of Medical and Dental Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 2, Issue 32
Abstract
Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the prostate (PSCC) is a rare disorder affecting the prostate forming 0.5% of prostate malignancies. Due to rarity of presentation there are many dilemmas regarding the clinical features, investigation and the best option in the management of PSCC. Here we studied 2 cases of PSCC retrospectively regarding the common clinical presentation, the investigations to prove the diagnosis and treatment of the patient by radiotherapy as the primary treatment. We reviewed the previous published literature about PSCC to ascertain the best treatment option based on the stage of the disease.
