Is the repo market might lead to the next crisis?

Abstract
The article analyzes the changes in the repo market in the United States and the European Union. The data presented highlight the increasing share of this market in the financing of financial intermediaries. Recently another ally in development of the market is introduced regulation on the safety of deposits in trading derivatives. The author points to the need for increased transparency and control of the repo market, given the significant source of systemic risk.
