Open innovations based on the wisdom of "crowds" – the basis of success of a modern enterprise

Abstract

 The 21st century forced a change in the approach to innovations manage-ment. The old paradigm of "closed innovations" has been replaced by a new one, a paradigm of so called "open innovations". The opening of innovations consists in engaging external participants in centripetal, centrifugal and mixed innovation processes. Still more and more frequently, virtual societies function-ing in the Internet are becoming participants of the innovation processes. The aim of the article is to present current models of open innovations based on the knowledge of the Internet societies based on the wisdom of crowds.
