Risk Management in Consulting Projects in The Light of An ISO 31000 Norm

Abstract

 Consulting companies conduct their business on the basis of project man-agement. The specificity of consulting projects is related to the high variability of its activities depend on the expectations of customers, their uniqueness and individualized counseling approach. The advanced methods of project man-agement are applicable in this type of projects, however, due to the nature of consulting projects it is required to introduce enriched methodology associated with the determination of the degree of risk and limiting it. ISO 31000 standards include full, very extensive and in addition a universal interpretation of risk management. General principles proposed in this standard, a series of risk management features and the criteria for determining risk, including assessment of the risk context may well be incurred reference to risk management in consulting projects.
