THE INTENSITY OF RESPIRATION AND THE ACTIVITY OF SOME OXIDE - REDUCTASES IN SEEDS OF PASTINACA SATIVA L.TREATED WITH ULTRASOUNDS
Journal Title: Analele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iasi, Serie noua, Sectiunea II a. Biologie vegetala - Year 2005, Vol 51, Issue 0
Abstract
This paper studies the intensity of respiration and the activity of two oxide – reductase (catalase and polyphenol-oxidase) in seeds of Pastinaca sativa subdued to the action of ultrasounds having the frequency of 22 kHz, the electric power of 20; 55 and 106.25 V.A. at periods of 30 and 60 seconds. The ultrasonic radiation stimulates the process of respiration and the activity of the two enzymes studied.

CHARACTERIZATION OF THE IMPACT OF BACILLUS LICHENIFORMIS AND PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA AGAINST ALTERNARIA ALTERNATA BY PHASE CONTRAST MICROSCOPY AND TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPY
Pseudomonas and Bacillus are the most studied groups of plant disease-suppressive bacteria. Plant protection is mediated by the antagonistic effects of these bacteria against phytopathogens. The antifungal activity of se...
