The Role of Middle Managers in PositiveMangement

Abstract

 This article sets out to prove the changing role of middle managers con-cerning positive management practices. The data presented shows how middle managers’behavior and attitudes can influence the atmosphere of trust and then relationships within the team and between teams in organization. Middle managers act as role models for their subordinates and therefore set the rules and codes of behavior. To act as role models and to be seen as trustworthy leaders they need some personal characteristics and competences. Organizations should pay more attention to roles of middle managers but also set proper recruitment practices concerning their soft skills and ensure coaching and training that could help managers to develop and enhance their soft skills.
