Yield comparison of dry-land wheat promising lines in temperate regions of Lorestan provience, Iran

Journal Title: Scientia Agriculturae - Year 2013, Vol 4, Issue 3

Abstract

A field study was planned to examine effect of location and lines on yield and other favorable characteristics of 16 wheat genotypes at the Aligoodarz and Dorud agricultural Reaserch station farms. The experimental design was a randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Treatments including 11 promising wheat lines (Azar-2, Un-11, Manning/Sdv1//Dogu88, F10S-1//ATAY/GALVEZ87, PYN/BAU//BONITO, SHAHI/T-C (22), PTZ NISKA/UT1556-170//UNKNOWNT CI97AP 037-0AP-OMA-1MA-OMA, 92 ZHONG 257//CNO79/PRL/3/ OK82282/ /BOW/NKTT CI97AP 441-0AP-0MA-5MA-OMA, AZ-149, AZ-53, 29-NAMAYESHI-98 and WS-85-10) and four genotypes (Ohadi, Homa, Rasad and Patto) as control in tow location of Aligoodarz and Doroud region in Lorestan provience, Iran. Results showed that wheat grain yield in in Aligoodarz and Doroud stations Homa genotype has the highest yield and the SHAHI/T-C (22) line has the lowest yield and the difference was significant. For combined analysis, results showed that, Homa genotype had the highest yield (3280 kg/ha) while SHAHI/T-C(22) line had the lowest yield (1290 kg/ha). Therefore Homa genotype was selected to complimentary studies.
