Neo-institutionalism as a methodological one the basis for the study of informal institutes: an example of political corruption

Abstract

The possibilities of using the method of neoinstitutionalism for the analysis of informal political institutions are explored. Political corruption is defined as one of the types of informal institutions. The nature of informal political institutions from the standpoint of neo-institutionalism is characterized. The differences in the understanding of the political institute in the interpretation of institutionalism and neoinstitutionalism are emphasized.
