Nerve Conduction Studies in Leprosy- A Review.

Abstract
Leprosy involves peripheral nerves sooner or later in the disease course leading to gross deformities. However, by the time it becomes clinically apparent, the nerve damage is already quite advanced. If the preclinical damage is detected early, it can be prevented to a large extent. Nerve conduction studies (NCS) are very important for the study of peripheral neuropathy. These studies can be helpful in the early diagnosis of neural involvement, and in the follow-up of patients under treatment.
