Noise Measurements in Urban Environment
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2009, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper presents some results obtained on diminishing the noise generated by transportation means in urban environment, with application to Timişoara City. Starting from the results of measurements, noise abatement methods were established concerning the noise in urban environment. After the implementation of these methods, new measurements were performed. A comparison study was developed based on the results of the measurements.

Exact Controllability in Oblique Gridworks Structures
The article studies the problem of the exact internal controllability on a gridwork structure that depends on two small parameters ε and δ . The controll is provided by the HUM method (Hilbert Uniqueness Method). We appl...
Criteria of Stability for Equilibriums Described by Polynomial Characteristic Equations
In this paper are given some new criteria of stability for the equilibrium positions obtained by solving third, fourth and fifth degrees polynomials. These equations appear when the equation of motion has the form ẍ=f(x)...
The influences of undissolved air into the hydraulic agent on dynamics of hydraulic system with rotational drive unit
It is well known from the exploitation activities of hydraulic driving systems that the undissolved air into the hydraulic agent of technological equipments actuating system generates the negative effects regarding the s...
Consideration regarding the nonlinear vibration of a mechanical system
The paper studies, from the point of view of the dynamical systems theory, the nonlinear vibrations of a single-degree-of-freedom mechanical system. The differential equation of motion is analyzed using the method of var...
Investigation Composite Materials for its Sound Absorption Properties
This paper presents research on determining the sound absorption coefficient depending on frequency, for each sample, thus determining the sound absorption capacity of each obtained material. Materials were made from par...
