Nonlinear Dynamic Response Analysis of Rotor-Ball Bearing System For Momentum Wheel

Journal Title: 河南科技大学学报(自然科学版) - Year 2018, Vol 39, Issue 3

Abstract

The dynamic equation of the rotor-bearing system of momentum wheel considering the nonlinear bearing force was established and solved by Runge-Kutta numerical method. The bifurcation diagrams, Poincare maps and amplitude spectrums were used to analyze the dynamics responses characteristics of the system under different speeds, equivalent damping and radial clearance. The results show that the rolling bearing rotor system is rich in periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic response forms. In the chaotic response, there is variable flexibility vibration and the x-direction is relatively violent. With reasonable selection of rolling bearing parameters combination, the vibration response of the rotor-ball bearing system stays in a relatively stable state.
