Abstract
Completion of realization of VDE 8 project and putting the high-speed line into service is closely related with the significant change of the transport offer of DB Fernverkehr on the Munich–Berlin axis and on connected sections. In the article features of the transport offer in long-distance traffic have been presented, including train relations, their numbers, stopping patterns, journey times. The rolling stock used in these services have been described. Moreover, the integration of high speed railway with other rail services on regional and urban level.
