ОБРАЗНІСТЬ МОВЛЕННЯ ЯК ОЗНАКА КУЛЬТУРИ МОВИ (НА ПРИКЛАДІ МЕТАФОРИ)

Abstract
The article revealed that the imagery of language is seen not only as a way of giving expressive, artistic and aesthetic expression, but also means expressiveness opinion referring to something new, complex, poorly understood. People usually try to use for their understanding in more intelligible sphere of the elements, and then it comes to the aid of metaphor, comparison and other figurative means. The main purpose of the work is based on the separation of figurative speech as a basic communication feature of language culture and discovering the way of usage the metaphor in different functional styles. In order to achieve this purpose, imagery is considered on the example of three types of metaphors – predicative, object and attributive. We have analyzed their operation in different styles and defined the role they perform in different circumstances of communication. As a conclusion, the aesthetic function of imagery plays the main role in the artistic style and in journalistic texts. The function of activating the attention of the recipients is on the foreground , and in the scientific style the cognitive function of the important role is played by a metaphor, which makes it possible to comprehend the new object, based on knowledge of already known object, and argumentative function, that is, with the help of metaphors convince the correctness of the above thesis. The art of choosing and expedient to use figurative means for a particular purpose and in specific circumstances of communication determines the level of the culture of speech of the individual. Therefore, this approach will provide an opportunity to outline ways to improve the language skills of students.
