Odessa Shevchenkiana of the “Golden Age” of the Ukrainian Cinema Industr

Abstract

In Ukraine Filmography Shevchenkiana started at Odessa Film Studio in the “era of silent films”. The film “Taras Shevchenko” directed by Peter Chardynin had a huge impact on the viewer. The first image of the poet in the film was created by O. Liudvynskyi, a secondary school student from Odessa.
