Abstract
By analyzing, as an example, a thin elastic rectangular plate streamlined by supersonic gas flows, we study the loss stability phenomenon of the overrunning of the gas flow at is free edge under the assumption of presence of concentrated inertial masses and moments at the free and hinged edges respectively. For some special casesof a problem of a panel flutter critical velocities of divergence and flutter are found. It is established that inertial moment of rotation leads to the stabilization of perturbed motion of the system.
