ORGANIZING OF PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF LOGISTICS COST MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of organizing of information systems performance evaluation in the field of logistics costs management. Existing approaches to determining the economic efficiency of computerization and automation of management functions in different enterprise activity directions and the possibility of their application to the management of logistics costs are considered. Modern models, concepts and methods of using qualitative indicators for the characterization of information systems are analyzed. The key features of logistics costs management from the point of view of the possibilities of corresponding information system effectiveness evaluating are determined. The positive effects of the use of information systems in this sphere are characterized. The article defines the priority directions of an estimation of their productivity. Practical recommendations on the selection of performance indicators, as well as the methods for conducting the assessment, were developed. Attention is focused on the need for a comprehensive review of the information system for managing logistics costs, including its description as a hardware and software complex, assessing the interaction of personnel with the system, determining the impact of its use on the financial performance of the enterprise, and attracting experts for evaluation activities. A combination of calculation of the economic effect from the use of the information system for accounting, analysis and forecasting of logistics costs, assessment of the implementation and modernization of information technologies as an investment project and the use of a group of quality indicators characterizing user satisfaction and the quality of the information system is proposed. As a result of the research, a generalizing scheme for assessing the effectiveness of information systems for managing logistics costs has been developed, taking into account the needs of operational and strategic management.
