Abstract
Ermenekli Süleyman Sırrı Efendi lived in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and made an effort to express hadiths to Turkish society. Ermenekli Süleyman Sırrı Efendi received his first education in his hometown of Ermenek. He had his first education in Ermenek and moved to Istanbul to complete his education. He met with many notable scholars, like Ermenekli Mehmed Ayni Efendi, and when he took lessons from them and accomplished the lessons, he graduated (took icaze). Ermenekli Süleyman Sırrı Efendi lived an extremely successful learning life. By teaching succesfully as well as studying Ermenekli Süleyman Sırrı Efendi, wrote books many area like hadith, commentary, fiqh, arabic, teology, logic and life of the prophet. His studies reached the number of seventeen. Beside his intense workings. He lectured in private and public schools. And also he worked in administration and judgement positions, he had membership in many committees, like ministry of education. Insum he did services to his country. By virtue of his intense works he received silver medal and fourth degree Mecidi Nişan as gift.
