ОСВІТА І МОВА ДРОГОБИЧЧИНИ У XVIII СТ. (НА ПРИКЛАДІ РУКОПИСНИХ ПАМ’ЯТОК)

Abstract
The article is about the glorious city of Drohobych, which has long been famous for its natural resources, outstanding people, trade relations, the clergy and high level education. Lots of investigations and research is done about the city, but still a work that would give us wide and complete information about education level, educational institutions and libraries that existed in Drohobych in XVIII century cannot be found. This is going to be the main focus of research in our article. Also, a brief linguistic analysis of written language of Drohobych is made based on excerpts "Drohobych’s handwritten collection of apocryphal stories" of the XVIII century, rewritten by I. Franko and contained in a five-volume collection of "Apocryphs and legends of Ukrainian manuscripts. Collected, compiled and explained by dr. Ivan Franko".
