Overview of the Cross-Layer Paradigm Evolving Towards Future Internet
Journal Title: Acta Technica Napocensis- Electronica-Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications) - Year 2009, Vol 50, Issue 2
Abstract
The spectacular evolution of Internet services has requested significant improvements of the performances in communications networks. Cross-layering techniques have been selected as one of the most important issues in research, trying to change the classical OSI model and to define better mechanisms for scalability. In this paper we are investigating the main characteristics of this bi-directional vertical communication, breaking the claimed independence of physical, data link, network, transport, and application layers. Some deployment scenarios described herein could help the future Internet designers to follow a clean slate approach.

On The Tuning Performance of an Active RF Bandpass Filter
The paper describes a new principle of independent frequency and quality factor tuning suitable for simulated inductors based active RF filters. The method makes use of two dc decoupled negative resistances in order to...
A Matlab GUI for Simulating the Propagation of the Electromagnetic Field in A 2-D Infinite Space
This paper presents a Matlab-based graphical user interface (GUI) that allows the simulation of the propagation of an electromagnetic wave in a 2-D infinite space. The homogeneous, isotropic medium is modeled by using th...
Design of An Intelligent Systems for Monitoring and Assisting of Neoplazic Patients
The aim of this work is to create an intelligent client-server structure through which the neoplazic persons that use the opioid medicine to be monitorized and assisted at home, and also to efficiently intervene to lend...
Reliable Power Integrity Analysis Using MATLAB
In Power Distribution Network (PDN) design of high-speed systems appears to be contradictory design philosophies, component selection and layout rules. A not properly designed power distribution increases the supply rail...
Predicting Churn In Mobile Telecommunications Industry
In today’s competitive market, the customer retention represents one of the focal concern for telecommunications companies. The telecommunications sector can be considered on the top of the list with an annual churn rat...
