Ellipsis can range from a sound to a sentence in spoken or written language. Ellipsis in speech or writing is a consequence of the law of least effort, in other words, saving energy. The law of least effort, also known as “Zipf’s law” in the world, is to use language in the most effective way that the other person can understand, without repetition, without further ado. For this reason, the speaker or writer can make various ellipsis within the framework of the rules of the language uses. It is seen that the examples of ellipsis, which are frequently encountered in spoken language, are also used in written language in some cases. Since there is no specific rule or order of ellipsis in the spoken language, taking the spoken language as the basis for the researches may not give correct results.
