Abstract
The main milestones in the life of Professor Ivan Hranchak has been revealed in the article. There was demonstrated his contribution to the study of selected issues of modern history of Czechoslovakia and Hungary as well as the history of Transcarpathia and Uzhhorod University. His role in development of international cooperation of Uzhhorod National (State) University with many foreign educational institutions has been revealed.
