PECULARITIES OF EUROZONE MONETARY POLICY AND CONSEQUENCES OF THIS POLICY

Abstract
The article presents the European Monetary Union as final result of the European integration. It discusses the international importance of a single currency (the euro) in the pre-crisis period and analyses its advantages and disadvantages. It deals with current economic problems faced by the European Monetary Union. The article analyses distinctive features of the Eurozone currency and the European monetary policy, as well as the consequences of monetary policy. The article discusses potential stages of the EU development as well as future perspectives of the euro and the European Monetary Union.
