PENETRATION OF A SHOCK WAVE IN A FLAME FRONT
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2009, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
The present paper deals with the interactions between a fully supersonic flame front, situated in a supersonic two-dimensional flow of an ideal homogeneous combustible gas mixture, and an incident shock wawe, which is penetrating in the space of the hot burnt gases. A possible configuration, which was named ,,simple penetration” is examined. For the anlysis of the interference phenomena, shock polar and shock-combustion polar are used. At the same time, the paper shows the possibility to produce similar but more complicated configurations, which may contain expansion fans and reflected shock waves.

Advanced Trailing Edge Blowing Concepts for Fan Noise Control
This study documents trailing edge blowing research performed to reduce rotor / stator interaction noise in turbofan engines. The existing technique of filling every velocity deficit requires a large amount of air and is...
Numerical study of rocket upper stage deorbiting using passive electrodynamic tether drag
The purpose of this article is a numerical study of the possibility of deorbiting a rocket upper stage from low Earth orbit at EOM (end of mission) by means of passive electrodynamic tether drag. The article is structure...
Lamb Waves Tunning On Aluminium Plates for Structure Health Monitoring
The method for defects detection inside the mechanical structures, namely aerospace structures, using the Lamb waves is widespread because of its benefits: it is nondestructive, may reveal the presence and size of defect...
Method of formalizing the layout of the internal compartments of aircraft
The mathematical formulation of the aircraft’s internal layout problem is described as an optimization problem, with an indication of its objective function, constraints, and performance criteria. The approach (receptor...
